QUÉBEC, March 14th, 2005 – In a ceremony held last thursday as part of the FrancoFête, Fortune 1000 Group Inc. (Fortune 1000 Group) (TSX Venture Exchange: FRT) was awarded a Mérite du français dans les technologies de l’information in the large company software application category for the quality of the French language used in the Acomba CRM application.
Created in 1998 by the Office québécois de la langue française (Office), the Mérites du français dans les technologies de l'information awards celebrate the Francophone presence in cyberspace. They highlight the vitality of the French language on Internet sites, in software programs and in interactive multimedia products developed in Québec as well as media that use and promote new technologies.
By awarding this prize to Fortune 1000 Group, the jury recognizes the quality of the company’s work to offer entrepreneurs cutting-edge business tools that operate in a French-language environment.
Acomba CRM is a sophisticated customer relationship management tool. It strengthens communications between companies and their clients thus improving the company-customer relationship. It also automates various aspects of the relationship such as marketing, sales and service after the sale and supports the establishment of call centres. Acomba CRM helps businesses increase per-customer profit margins as well as grow and maintain their clienteles. This prize awarded by the Office in collaboration with the Fédération de l'informatique du Québec (FIQ), the Centre francophone d'informatisation des organisations (CEFRIO), the Réseau inter logiQ and Alliance numériQC – aligns Fortune 1000 Group to win an Octas for French used in information technologies. The 16th annual Octas awards will be presented on May 29, 2005 in Montréal.
