QUÉBEC, March 17th, 2005- Fortune 1000 Group Inc. (Fortune 1000 Group) (TSX Venture Exchange: FRT) announced today that its Tools line of software has been integrated into the accounting programs of eighteen post secondary schools in the province of Québec.
“Evolution in the accounting field is driving the practitioners to use more and more electronic tools,” said Fortune 1000 Group CEO, François Taschereau. “These professionals used to spend most of their time doing audit tasks. Today, accountants are called upon to provide analysis services. Faced with this new reality, accountants must rely on specialized auditing tools to prepare financial statements and perform in-depth analysis of the data contained therein. It is only natural that the province’s cegeps and universities include computerized auditing in their programs,” continued Taschereau. “We are extremely pleased that these eighteen schools have chosen Tools. For us, this is an opportunity to participate in the training of future accountants,” he concluded.
Teachers seem happy with the choice. “Tools programs are flexible and greatly facilitate the production of financial statements,” remarked Brigitte Auger, teacher at Cégep de Sainte-Foy and chartered accountant (CA). “Client data diagnostics and analysis are both very clear. I’m very enthusiastic about using this software in my teaching. I consider it an excellent tool and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to all accounting professionals,” she concluded.
